The Jamaica Scorpions have been forced into making three changes to their squad for the second round of the regional 4-day competition which starts on Thursday when they host the Windward Islands Volcanoes at Sabina Park. With injuries to opener Alwyn Williams, and spinner Dennis Bulli and Rovman Powell leaving for West Indies duties, the Scorpions have been forced to adjust their plans ahead of their match against the Volcanoes. Nkrumah Bonner who missed the first match due to injury is expected to replace Powell in the middle order while opener Orain Williams is a likely straight swap for Alwyn Williams. The other change is off-spinner Jamie Merchant who replaces Bulli. In the meantime, Thursday‘s game marks the return of Andrew Richardson to Sabina Park for the first time since becoming head coach of the Volcanoes. The Scorpions are currently fourth on the 4-day table with 6.6 points with Volcanoes second with 16.6 after their win against the Pride. Defending champions, the Guyana Jaguars are the early front-runners with 21 points. Thursday‘s game bowls off at 10:00 am.
